Bridal couples, whether traditional or non traditional,
tend to provide wedding favours at their reception. What is
a favour you ask?
Wedding favours are a memoir of your wedding
day; an item that will instantly remind your guests of your
union and event. And favours tend to reflect the couple’s
personality. The items should be unique to who you are as
a couple by emphasizing a hobby, profession or personality
trait.
Some favours we’ve seen in the past during
weddings on Yankee Lady ships:
- A card with the couple’s names stating
they have donated money to
their favourite charity on your behalf;
- Key chains, pens, photo frames, and refrigerator
magnets;
- Mouse pads, champagne flutes or engraved
drinking glasses;
- Scented candles;
- Chocolates and truffles;
- Tree saplings to plant;
- CD with the couple’s favourite songs.
At Yankee Lady Cruises, when you have your wedding
reception on one of our boats we
will help you decide whether you wish to give these favours
out at the commencement of your reception, place them on the
table settings, or hand them out as a thank you as your guests
as they disembark the ship.
Further, since the ship is an unique venue to
start with, perhaps have a photo
booth or caricaturist on board to give personalized photos
or drawings. Accenting your special day with a keepsake of
