CRUISE MEMBERSHIPS
Yankee Lady Yacht Charters is currently a member of
the following associations:
Canadian
Passenger Vessel Association
The purpose and objectives of the Association is to promote
the general welfare of the cruise passenger vessel industry; to
keep members informed as to developments pertaining to the industry,
to represent the industry in the area of government regulations,
to promote and encourage excellence in safety aboard vessels of
the CPVA, and to promote any enterprise which will benefit members
of the Association collectively.
In 2009, CPVA awarded Yankee Lady with their annual
Innovation Award for the unique design of her dining
chairs: they float! Adding extra safety measures to a ship that
already carries equipment beyond Transport Canada Marine Safety
requirements.
Toronto Passenger Vessel Association
Toronto Harbour operates more passenger boats than any other harbour
in North America. With that said, the TPVA has the same mandate
locally, as the CPVA has nationally. TPVA deals with national regulations
as well as local issues such as noise by-laws, liquor laws, and
community outreach. Jill Hicks, Yankee Ladys General Manager,
is the current President of the TPVA.
Tourism
Toronto
The agency responsible for wooing the outside world to visit Toronto
for both individual tourists and convention business.
Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association
Since its founding in 1944, the Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association has grown to more than 30,000 members across the country. Through advocacy, research, member savings and industry events, we help our members in every Canadian community grow and prosper. CRFA members represent every sector of Canada's vibrant and innovative foodservice industry, including restaurants, bars, cafeterias, coffee shops, and contract and social caterers. We also welcome suppliers to our industry as associate members of CRFA.
